Program Descriptions

The undergraduate [LL.B. (Hon’s.)] program at Southern University Bangladesh (SUB) is designed to provide students various types of careers opportunity like Judges, advocates, administrators, and academics etc. It is designed to prepare them to be social engineer so that they may contribute to their society. It is four years program. During this four-year students will have to study a range of fundamental topics in law and the legal system. Moreover, flexibility of curriculum would make it possible for them to pursue their individual academic interest in practically every area of law by selecting elective courses and topics of their own choice from one of the broadest selections available in any University in Bangladesh.

Eligibility for Admission
Bangladeshi Students:

i) A minimum GPA 2.50 in both SSC/SSC (Vocational)/ Dakhil and HSC/Alim examinations or equivalent, or

ii) At least one GPA 2.50 but an aggregate GPA 6.00 in SSC/SSC (Vocational)/Dakhil and HSC/Alim, or

iii) Students from freedom fighters quota or with physical disability may apply with an aggregate GPA of 5.00 in SSC/SSC (Vocational)/Dakhil and HSC/Alim, or

iv) Minimum 5 Subjects in O-Level and 2 subjects in A-Level with minimum grade of B (GPA 4.00) in 4 subjects and C (GPA 3.50) in 3 subjects.

Foreign Students:

1) Educational qualifications as applicable for Bangladeshi Civil students or equivalent.

2) Must have security clearance certificate from respective Embassy/High Commission in Bangladesh.

3) Equivalence Certificate from UGC.
