The Master of Arts in English program at Southern University Bangladesh aims to develop students’ expertise in literature, language, and critical theory, enhance sophisticated analytical and interpretive skills, and foster original research and scholarly writing. It prepares graduates for careers in academia, industry, research, and publication by emphasizing rigorous academic inquiry, deep textual analysis, interdisciplinary integration, and an appreciation for diverse cultural and historical contexts, ultimately inspiring lifelong learning and continuous professional development.
Students having BA/ B.Sc. /B. Com./BSS or equivalent degrees with second class/division/CGPA 2.00 are eligible for admission in MA two (2) year program. Students who have higher degrees than Bachelor degrees may also apply for admission. Even students having Honors degrees in subjects other than English are also eligible for admission in two year MA English program.
