IQAC Management Team & Their Responsibilities
Southern University Bangladesh has been working to provide quality higher education to the students as per western higher education model. Its slogan is “Committed to Academic Excellence”, which manifests its seriousness for ensuring quality education.

The responsibility of managing the day to day activities of IQAC rests on a management team comprised of the following persons.
1. Director
Director - The Director is the chief executive officer of IQAC, Southern University Bangladesh, responsible to perform the following tasks:
  • Facilitate the achievement of mission and objectives of the university by enhancing the quality of its higher education and responding to global trends on quality education.
  • Guide and assist the Program Offering Entities (PoEs) of the University to define the program mission and objectives.
  • Develop standards and benchmarks for various academic and administrative, of the University.
  • Coordinate all quality assurance (QA) activities within the University.
  • Work under the guidance of Quality Assurance Committee of the University.
  • Liaise with Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance (SPQA), Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) and other Q.A. Agencies.
  • Organize workshops, seminars and training for capacity building and promote QA culture at all levels of the University.
  • Serve as Drawing and Disbursing Office of IQAC in collaboration of Accounts Office.
  • Perform other necessary responsibilities mentioned in the IQAC Operations Manual.
  • Work as Secretary of the Quality Assurance Committee of the University.
2. Additional Director
The Additional Director of IQAC, Southern University Bangladesh is the second vital managerial position liable to accomplish the following responsibilities:
  • Assist and share the responsibility as assigned by the Director.
  • Monitor, Coordinate and audit the S.A. Programs.
  • Liaise with Strategic Planning and Quality Assurance (SPQA), Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) and other Q.A. Agencies.
  • Assist the Director in organizing various IQAC & PSAC workshops & training programs by procuring suitable resource persons and providing support services.
  • Guide the IQAC Accounts Officer in performing official duties in compliance with IQAC and Self-Assurance Manual.
  • Assist the Director in conducting the external peer review effectively.
3. ICT and Accounts Officer
The Accounts Officer of IQAC, Southern University Bangladesh has been assigned with the following responsibilities:
  • Maintain the books of account and records of all financial transactions of IQAC as per IQAC Operations Manual.
  • Prepare financial management reports on quarterly basis for submission to Quality Assurance Unit.
  • Make payment of monthly salary and honorarium to IQAC staff and bill payments to suppliers of materials, accessories and equipment’s.
  • Conduct all financial transactions as per QAU guidelines, preferably through cheque.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions in a lawful manner.
4. Office Assistant cum Computer Typist
The Office Assistant cum Computer Typist of IQAC, Southern University Bangladesh has been assigned the following responsibilities:
  • Perform all office management activities systematically and efficiently.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all IQAC activities.
  • Check the day-to-day email and other communications and provide timely reply to external communication by seeking advice from Director.
  • Provide periodical progress information by taking help from Director/Additional Director.
  • Preserve proper documents of all IQAC-assets and facilities in a prescribed manner.
5. Office Support Staff
The Office Support Staff of IQAC, Southern University Bangladesh will bear the following responsibilities:
  • Assist the IQAC office in conducting its official activities by providing personal services.
  • Communicate with administrative offices and different departments regarding any information, message or circular.
  • Arrange refreshments for any IQAC meeting, workshop or seminar as per the advice of IQAC Manager and Accounts Officer.
  • Preserve the office files systematically.
