Southern EEE- team at “Sikalbaha 225 MW Dual Fuel Combined Cycle Power Plant’’
Recently a team of students and teachers of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Southern University Bangladesh has visited Sikalbaha 225 MW Dual Fuel Combined Cycle Power Plant.
They basically visited Sikalbaha 225 MW Power Plant under the supervision of ‘Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB)’. Mr. Adittya Ranjan Chowdhury, Assistant Engineer of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), Mr. Kannan (Manager, Project Management Group), Mr. Tarini Prasad Mohanty (Manager, Electrical) and Mr. Parag Jain (Head, Electrical and Instrumentation Dept.) from ‘L & T’ (EPC Contractor of BPDB)have guided the team to visit the power station.They have given all the practical guidance regarding this different type of Power plant to the team.
It is basically a ‘dual fuel’ power station, which can be managed by both gas and diesel (HSD). The students said that the program directors and their teachers have sincere cooperation to provide all the details about the power station. Students also said that this was a totally educational and successful program for them.They expressed their gratitude to the instructors and teachers.
