Professional Biography

Sajid Hasan is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at Southern University Bangladesh, with over many years of experience in higher education, research, and academic leadership. His academic and research interests focus on sustainable construction materials and resilient infrastructure, with particular emphasis on geopolymer concrete. He teaches core undergraduate courses and contributes to Outcome-Based Education (OBE)–aligned curriculum development and assessment. His technical expertise includes structural analysis and design, supported by professional proficiency in ETABS and AutoCAD, and working knowledge of MATLAB, Abaqus, Python, and 3D modeling tools. He has published multiple peer-reviewed journal and conference papers across areas such as geotechnical engineering, structural safety, seismic vulnerability, and construction materials, and actively engages in faculty development, academic quality assurance, and student-centered learning initiatives.
