Biography

Tanjia Chowdhury has been affiliated with Southern University Bangladesh since 2014 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, effective from July 16, 2025. With over a decade of experience in academia and industry, she brings expertise in teaching, research, and technology. She completed her B.Sc. and M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Chittagong, ranking 4th in her undergraduate class, and is currently pursuing her M.Phil. at the same university. Her research focuses on AI, machine learning, networking, and IoT-based systems. She has authored multiple journal articles, conference papers, and three books, including two with LAMBERT Academic Publishing and one with Southern University Press. She is also certified in PHP programming and actively contributes to curriculum development and quality assurance. Her long-term goal is to advance education and research in healthcare AI and intelligent systems.
