The curriculum of the Program has been intended to uncover Islam’s and other religions’ basic humanitarian benefit intentions. It was hoped that by delving further into ancient sources, the fundamental intellectual, ethical, and spiritual virtues of religion may be recovered. There was a belief that religion should be made virtuously suited for the social and political needs of the period, as well as for the third-millennium position of globalization. The curriculum strives to liberate Islam from extra-religious beliefs and outmoded social norms. These factors have calcified around the pure scriptural ideas of Islam and have become a hindrance to society’s normal growth. It will motivate people to awaken to the profound moral feelings and ethical bids of conscience that live at the center of the human heart. It will also make an effort to bring misled and derailed worldly people back into the fold of moral and spiritual principles. Religion’s canonical sources, such as the holy Qurʼan and the Prophetic Tradition, are priceless treasure troves of knowledge and theological insights interwoven with ethical ideals. As a result, the suggested program includes the study of ethics and scriptural languages as supplementary disciplines to the Qurʼan and Sunnah.
The expected objective of this program is to study Islamic literature from its sources to achieve an authentic understanding of the ideas, teachings, institutions, rites, and ceremonies; and to make it helpful and instructional to our age’s dynamic and pulsating modern society. It will strive to provide students with a solid foundation in religious science, religious philosophy, socio-religious psychology, and social welfare concepts. The curriculum focuses on developing students’ natural skills to generate professional and efficient labor to manage required religious institutional performances as well as any public or private organization.
