Department Of Law

The Department of Law of this university is creating legal professionals to meet the need of the country in the legal fields. The Department of Law is the pioneer department under the Faculty of Arts, Social Science and Law currently offering LL.B. (Honors) and Master of Laws (LL.M. 1 and 2 Years) programs. This department is enriched with a galaxy of quite a good number of reputed faculty members who are directly imparting education to the students studying under different programs. To ensure quality education, some adjunct faculty members are also hired from reputed universites and Judges and Advocates from Bench and Bar. The graduates from this Department will be able to contribute a lot to meet the need of the country in this field. The mission of the Department of Law is to offer high quality educational opportunities to enable the students achieve their individual academic goals by providing modern knowledge, ideas, technical competence, communication skills and developing their creative mental faculties properly. The vision of the Department of Law is to attain academic excellence in its Program in teaching, learning and research to create globally competitive professionals with high ethical standards, leadership qualities and to serve the common people for better living in the society with innovative approach. The department’s curricula are approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh as well as the department is affiliated with and recognized by Bangladesh Bar Council.
