Welcome to the Department of Law, Southern University Bangladesh. The Department of Law running under the Faculty of Arts, Social Science and Law since 2003. Our Law courses are approved by UGC and Bangladesh Bar Council. The Department of Law is committed to academic excellence and inclusivity converge to cultivate the next generation of legal professionals. Our department is fortunate to have a talented and diverse team of faculty members, each bringing valuable academic and professional expertise in various legal disciplines, which significantly enhances our educational environment. As a department, we follow the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum, we contend that the study of law extends beyond the mere acquisition of legal principles; it encompasses the development of a profound understanding of justice, ethics, and critical inquiry. We are confident that our students graduate not only with a robust understanding of legal knowledge but also with the confidence and compassion necessary to make meaningful contributions to society. The students get practical training from clinical legal education, moot court, mock trial, court visit and other activities. Our Department is widely acclaimed for successfully maintaining an uninterrupted academic pace devoid of session jam and unwanted academic hazards. In a very short time, our graduates have been able to successfully set their career footprints in diverse fields, including academia, judiciary, law practice, public services etc.The department currently offers two programs: the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honours.) and the Master of Laws (LL.M.) 1Year and 2 Year.
